Welcome to my New Website!
Though I no longer have the time to devote to a poultry genetics website that I once had, I have decided to start a small site where I can share some of my thoughts and experiences. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find the information herein useful. Some of the information I will present may go against "popular folk wisdom" in the poultry community, but the latest cutting edge science is lending a great deal of weight to many of my observations and theories. I hope you will take the time to consider this information with an open mind and heart.
I will present herein some of my research aimed at breeding for sustainability, reproducibility, viability and genetic disease resistance. I also will present my thoughts on the origins of the chicken and the process of domestication, some information on the genes of phenotype; color, pattern, form and feathering and I will document some of that research in the new photo album (in the right hand column of every page) with pictures of a few of the most interesting family lines I have worked with in the past.
